Membership of Countryside Watch In Leicestershire is FREE

Countryside Watch is a scheme set up by the police to help prevent rural crime and identify and catch criminals in rural Leicestershire and Rutland.

It is specifically designed to address the needs of farmers, land owners, horse owners, other rural industries and those living in rural area by helping to improve security and developing effective communication between these groups of people.

What Does It Cost?

Membership is free, and open to any resident within the County, be they farmers, landowners, rural businesses or residents of rural areas.
Members benefits include:

* A risk assessment of your property undertaken by your local Police Beat Officer.

* A Countryside Watch sign to display on your property.

* Weekly rural crime reports sent directly to you via, email or voicemail.

* Crime prevention advice and support.

* Each member is registered on the Neighbourhood Alert messaging system which enables a clearly defined channel for a communication flow between the Police and other members.
