PC 1837 Adam Dewfield and PC 2199 Henry Henderson will be visiting all the villages on the beat with available representatives from the parish and district councils, district council enforcement officers, the Harborough District Neighbourhood Watch Association and Community Speed Watch.

A Community Speed Watch scheme has been launched in Wigston to drive down the number of motorists breaking the limit on a number of roads in the town.
Three selected locations on Kelmarsh Avenue, Horsewell Lane and West Avenue will be targeted by community volunteers over a four week period which started on August 11.
Officers in the city are warning people to be on their guard after a number of cash point distraction thefts.
Suspects are targeting lone people at cash machines in Melton Road, Belgrave Road, Fosse Park and the city centre. The suspects watch the victims put in their PIN numbers into the machine. Once they have obtained the PIN number they distract the victim and take their card out of the machine. They then leave the victim thinking the machine has swallowed their card.
Sgt Wayne Nimblette from Keyham Lane local policing unit said: "Members of the public are being urged to be vigilant while using cash machines.
This is a message to all our watch members. During recent weeks we have seen a significant increase in the number of crimes reported where the catalytic converter has been stolen from unattended motor vehicles. A catalytic converter is in essence a section of the exhaust pipe which contains low levels of expensive metals such as platinum and this makes them attractive to thieves for the scrap value alone.

M·E·L Research have been commissioned by Leicestershire County Council to carry out a survey amongst local residents to gain awareness levels form residents about Food waste.

This is a message for all our watch members from Harborough Local Policing Unit in conjunction with the Harborough District Neighbourhood Watch Association.
During the last week we have had several reports of high powered or high value motor vehicles being stolen from outside the owners’ homes by the method of entering the home to steal the car keys. In some cases entry was gained to the home by simply walking in as doors were left unlocked and the car keys were left readily available in plain sight.
Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Shilton Road, Barwell.
The incident happened on Sunday 10 August at around 5pm when a group of three men approached a man fishing at a pond. .
The victim was sat fishing when he was approached by the suspects, who pushed him to the ground. The victim then received kicks to the ribs and face and required hospital treatment.
The suspects made off with the victim's fishing equipment and headed towards Dawson Lane.
Roads identified by members of the community as hotspots for speeding motorists will be targeted by police as part of a week long crackdown.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a theft that took place at the Savers store in Castle Street, Hinckley.
The incident occurred at about 12:53pm on Wednesday 13 August, 2008.
A man and woman were seen taking a quantity of tablets off the shelves and putting them into a rucksack. When challenged they stopped and left the premises. The man ran out of the shop, onto Castle Street and into an alleyway opposite called Bell Entry.
