Area Commander
Chief Supt Rob Nixon
During 2010 I look forward to working with colleagues, partners and communities to ensure that we maximise every opportunity to be visibly tackling those local issues and individuals that undermine community confidence. I want to continue to deliver a responsive service, ensuring emergency calls are dealt with promptly and all non-emergency calls receive a visit or follow up which meet the needs of those seeking our assistance. I will continue to invest in neighbourhood policing, aligning our boundaries to local wards enabling greater integration of policing into neighbourhoods with local authorities and local community leaders. I want to work with partners to tackle the issues of drugs and alcohol which significantly impact on communities. I am encouraged by the level of partnership enthusiasm to take these issues forward.
