How to set up a No Cold Calling Zone

The purpose of ‘No Cold Calling’ zones is to discourage cold callers from specific residential areas, usually a street or small cluster of houses. The introduction of the scheme provides householders with the opportunity to collectively discourage the often-unwelcome practice of cold calling. All the residents must agree to have a No Cold Calling Zone.
Working in partnership with Leicestershire Trading Standards, we have been asked to provide members with the information necessary to set up a NO COLD CALLING ZONE in your area.

- Letter 4 (MS Word, 25 Kb)

Contact Trading Standards on 0116 305 8000 or trading-standards@leics.gov.uk to request a sample pack and street sign to show residents.
If the residents would like a scheme Trading Standards will then be able to supply street signs, packs and spare door stickers. They will only be provided when the residents have agreed they would like a No Cold Calling Zone. There is a charge for the signs and the packs, please contact Trading Standards for further details.
