Inspector Dan Pedley
Inspector Dan Pedley joined Leicestershire Constabulary in 1994, working initially at Market Harborough.
He was promoted to sergeant in 2000 and initially worked as a team leader at Welford Road, which was followed by periods as a community sergeant at Lutterworth, in the CID at Wigston, as a Custody Sergeant and then in the Community Safety Bureau at Hamilton.
He was promoted to the rank of Inspector in 2005 and took on an operational support role covering the East area.
Wigston local policing unit polices the growing residential communities of Wigston, South Wigston and Oadby.
The area includes a wide range of shops, restaurants, public houses, religious centres, schools and health and leisure facilities. The area also includes some light industry.
On the western boundary, the LPU covers the Glen Parva Young Offenders Centre.

Wigston local policing unit polices the growing residential communities of Wigston, South Wigston and Oadby. The LPU is divided into three neighbourhood beats each with their own dedicated beat officers who are supported by police community support officers.
